Can I use a test student in Brightspace?

Updated on

In the process of adding content to your course in Brightspace it can be helpful to preview content as a student. This way you can see whether everything works as intended and whether you are satisfied with the design of the course. To view the course from the perspective of a student you can use View as student. If you want to experience specific content from the perspective of a student you can use the Dummy student; a fictional student you can add to a course and impersonate. You can then go through your course as a dummy student.

Please contact your faculty ICT support if you would like to use a dummy student in a designated course. The dummy student will appear in your class list after confirmation of the ICT support. ICT support will also remove the dummy student if you don't need it anymore.
